Following the recent call for application for scholarship opportunities for eligible girls to pursue studies in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences,
INES-Ruhengeri, in partnership with the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Rwanda, is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity for eligible female students in STEM, funded by the Scottish Government through Oxfam. Through this collaboration, YWCA will provide support the female students from the following ten Districts where the project is operating Now: Kicukiro, Nyarugenge, Bugesera, Kayonza, Kamonyi, Muhanga, Gicumbi, Musanze, Rubavu, and Ngororero.

Eligibility Criteria in Bachelor of Statistics Applied to Economy:
-Applicants must have achieved the required grades qualifying them for university admission and must have majored in one of the following cluster combinations
Physics-Economics-Mathematics; Mathematics-Economics-Geography; Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology; Mathematics-Physics-Biology; Mathematics-Computer Science-Economics; Mathematics-Geography; Mathematics-Economy; Mathematics-Computer; Mathematics-Physics; Latin Sciences; Latin-Biochimie; Biochimie, TTC/Science & Math Option; Science and Mathematics Education; Normale Primaire A2.
Eligibility Criteria in Bachelor in Computer Sciences:
-Applicants must have achieved the required grades qualifying them for university admission and must have majored in one of the following cluster combinations
Physics-Chemistry–Biology;Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics; Mathematics-Physics-Geography; Mathematics-Physics-Computer Sciences; Physics-Economics-Mathematics; Mathematics-Economics-Geography; Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology; Mathematics-Computer Science-Economics; Mathematics-Physics-Biology; Computer Science; Mathematics-Geography;Mathematics-Economy;Mathematics-Computer; Mathematics-Physics;TTC/Science & Math Option; Science and Mathematics Education, Software Development, Networking, CT and Multimedia; Industrial Electricity, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Electronics, Telecommunication , Electronic Services, Solar Energy, Automobile Transmission and Control System Technology, Computer Science and Management;
Additional general admission criteria:
-Be a Rwandan
-Be a female between 18–25 years of age (for persons with disabilities, the age limit is extended to 30 years).
-Must have graduated from secondary school between the academic years 2019 and 2023.
-Only first-year students who are not enrolled in any other higher learning institution are eligible to apply.
-Girls with any form of vulnerability including disabilities, early motherhood (not married), or single mothers aged 18–30 years are strongly encouraged to apply.
Required Documents:
-Notarized copy of the secondary school certificate
-National ID
-Two recent passport-sized colour photographs
-Medical proof of disability
-Proof of economic vulnerability, signed and issued by a recognized local authority.
