INES-Ruhengeri in collaboration with Ministry of Health in the framework of 4X4 Strategy is excited to announce a funded scholarship opportunity (Tuition Fees and Living fees for Midwifery, Anesthesia, Pharmacy programs and Tuition Fees only for Nursing programs).

 Prospective candidates are invited to apply for the following programs:

1)        Bachelor of Science with Honors in Midwifery (A0)

2)        Bachelor of Science with Honors in General Nursing (A0)

3)        Advanced Diploma in Midwifery (A1)

4)        Advanced Diploma in General Nursing (A1)

5)        Bachelor of Science with Honors in Pharmacy (A0)

6)        Bachelor of Science with Honors in Anesthesia (A0)

Application Period: From 25th October 2024 to 02nd November 2024.

 Eligibility Criteria for:

1. BSc with Honors in Midwifery (Four-year program) and BSc with Honors in General Nursing (Four-year program):

a.         Two Principal Passes with at least Grade C in Biology and Chemistry.

b.        Completed general secondary education with one of the following principal subjects: Physics-Chemistry-Biology, Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology, Biology-Chemistry-Geography.

c.         A2 nurses with a minimum of distinction, holding a valid nursing council practice license and at least 2 years of work experience.

 

2. Advanced Diploma in Midwifery (Three-year program), Advanced Diploma in General Nursing (Three-year program):

a.         Two Principal Passes with at least Grade D in Biology and Chemistry.

b.        Completed general secondary education with one of the following principal subjects: Physics-Chemistry-Biology, Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology, Biology-Chemistry-Geography.

c.         A2 Nurse with a minimum of Satisfaction holding a valid nursing council practice license and at least 2 years of work experience. 

3. BSc with Honors in Pharmacy (Five-year program):

a.         Two Principal Passes with at least Grade C in Biology and Chemistry.

b.        Completed general secondary education with one of the following principal subjects: Physics-Chemistry-Biology, Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology, Biology-Chemistry-Geography. 

4. BSc with Honors in Anesthesia (Four-year program):

a.         Two Principal Passes with at least Grade C in Biology and Chemistry.

b.        Completed general secondary education with one of the following principal subjects: Physics-Chemistry-Biology, Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology, Biology-Chemistry-Geography.

c.         A2 Nurse with a minimum of Distinction holding a valid nursing council practice license and at least 2 years of work experience

 Admission Test and Selection process:

1.        Candidates who meet minimum admission requirements for above programs will sit for an admission test on 08th November 2024.

2.       Final selection of the scholarship beneficiaries will be based on the admission test score

3.      Final selected students to benefit the scholarships will sign a contract agreement with MoH to ensure their absorption into the health system after their graduation of which they will be required to serve for a minimum period of time.

NOTE:

Applications are invited from prospective candidates who meet the eligibility criteria outlined above. Please note that these scholarships target students who have graduated from senior six or its equivalent. Students currently receiving another scholarship funded by the Government or its partners, self-sponsored or those who have graduated from other university-level programs, are not eligible to apply. Any violation of these application requirements will result in immediate disqualification upon discovery, with potential additional sanctions depending on the level of the violation.
